Dr. Antigoni Stylianou

Dr. Stylianou graduated in 2010 from the National and Kapodistrian University, School of Dentistry (Athens, Greece) with “Excellence” as a first-class of honors degree student (DDS). Both Cypriot and Greek State Scholarship Foundations honored her continuous academic success with scholarships for the five consecutive undergraduate years. She was also awarded the “Pantia-Ralli Outstanding Student Award” for the student with the best academic performance of the Dental School of Athens (2008-09).

Prior to her graduate studies in Prosthodontics, she attended courses in Aesthetic Dentistry from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry and successfully awarded a “Master Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry” (2011).

In 2015, Dr. Stylianou completed the three-year specialty education program of Graduate Prosthodontics of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), School of Dentistry (2012-2015). During the graduate studies, she received intensive training in full-mouth rehabilitations, aesthetic dentistry, implant reconstructions and removable prosthetics.

She also worked as a Prosthodontics Resident at Birmingham VA (Veterans Affairs) Medical Center and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Prosthodontics for the undergraduate students. From 2014-2015, she attended the UAB Graduate School for the pursuit of the degree of Master of Science in Dentistry (MS) relating to biomaterial sciences. Her research “Light transmitting fiber optic posts – an in vitro evaluation” has been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry (2017), the leading professional journal in advanced prosthetic and restorative dentistry.

Upon completion of her graduate studies, Dr. Stylianou followed an academic career lecturing at the Aesthetic Dentistry Programs and teaching as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Graduate Prosthodontics programs (Prosthodontic MClinDent and MSc Conservative Dentistry) of the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute (2015-2016) in London, United Kingdom.

She is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP) and the International Team of Implantology (ITI).
